Great Source of Moustache Mugs

Posted by on Nov 17, 2014 in Moustached Gifts and Merchandise | 0 comments

A proper moustache mug has a guard to keep your prize moustache from dipping into the drink. This site in England has a nice selection of creative mugs with imaginative designs, but if you want something simpler or even with custom or personalized lettering in it they can do that also.

How Women May Be Contributing to Men’s Rising Cancer Rates

Posted by on Nov 17, 2014 in Men's Health | 0 comments

From Mercola.com:

  • An analysis of data from 100 countries found oral contraceptive use is associated with prostate cancer; this may be due to exposure to synthetic estrogens excreted by women and that end up in the drinking water supply

Handlebar Moustache Survey by William of the UK

Posted by on Nov 16, 2014 in Moustache Surveys | 0 comments

William’s very splendid moustache!

1. How long have you had a handlebar moustache, and what is your history with moustaches?

Since 1985. Had a moustache on and off since the ’70′s and decided to make a statement and image that people would recognise me by. Not necessarily a conscious effort but felt I needed something after losing my glasses for contact lenses.

Finally joined the Handlebar Club in early 2000 after running into their archivist on the Orient Express. No murders this time!

2. What moved you to grow a handlebar moustache? Do any relatives or ancestors have handlebar moustaches?

As I said, it was really down to the loss of glasses.

Steve has a terrific moustache!

1. How long have you had a handlebar moustache, and what is your history with moustaches?

I’ve had a stache since I was 18, and the handlebar for a little more than a year.

2. What moved you to grow a handlebar moustache? Do any relatives or ancestors have handlebar moustaches?

Always wanted one.

Handlebar Moustache Survey by Harry from Missouri

Harry and his fine moustache.

1. How long have you had a handlebar moustache, and what is your history with moustaches?

I’ve had my handlebar going on a couple months now. I don’t have much history with a moustache.

2. What moved you to grow a handlebar moustache? Do any relatives or ancestors have handlebar moustaches?

I find the moustache comforting. It’s elegant and sleek. What moved me to grow one is the fact that people have been growing them for centuries and when I look back at old tin types it’s takes a true character to grow a moustache.

Posted by on Nov 3, 2014 in Moustache Contests | 0 comments

On Oct 25 I had the opportunity to attend this event and had a great time. There were a lot of attendees and participants. Oregon and Washington being beard country especially, there were a lot of bearding contestants. Over 80 in the natural beard alone.

Handlebar Moustache Survey by DeeDah in Chicago

DeeDah, you look great!

1. How long have you had a handlebar moustache, and what is your history with moustaches?

This is my first at about 9 weeks I think? Facial hair for decades though.

2. What moved you to grow a handlebar moustache? Do any relatives or ancestors have handlebar moustaches?

I have always had a pretty gnarly beard. I needed to shave a patch to take care of a patch of skin and I needed to shave a portion out. This seemed like a great time to give it a shot.

No relatives or ancestors have had one to my knowledge. Been some beards though.
